Wellingtonian John Henwood finished 3rd in the Sydney Half Marathon today with a time
of 66.29. The race winner was Scott Westcott from Canberra (64.18) and second was
Rod de Highden from Victoria (64.33).
In the women's event Kerryn McCann from Wollongong led from the start and won in 71.06. She just missed the race record of 70.53 set by New Zealander Nyla Carrol in 1996. Liz Miller from Sydney was second in 73.45, and Anna Thompson from Victoria was 3rd in 75.03. Links:
