Valerie Adams from Auckland has once again improved her national shot put record.
Throwing at the NZ National Championships in Dunedin, Valerie added 51cm to the record with her first put of 18.91m. As a bonus the throw meets the 'A' qualifying standard for the Athletics World Championships, meaning that Adams is entitled to compete in Paris this August. Links:
