The Haywards to Haywards Journey Run

Please note: Unfortunately it looks very likely that there will be no race in 2006! The race director has very inconsiderately moved to Perth in Western Australia and so will not be able to mark the course on xmas day or organise things on boxing day 2006. If you want the event to happen this year perhaps you can know someone who will take on the duty of Race Director - or maybe you can do it yourself! Lower Hutt: Haywards Hill to Haywards Scenic Reserve.

what:
This is a "must-do" event for mountain fans in the Wellington Region who are at a loose end in the holiday period. It showcases the scenic Western Hills and Eastern Hills of the Hutt Valley - one of the country's most accessible mountain running areas.

Start at Haywards Hill (Western Hills) - 9am walkers, 10am runners
Run via Belmont, Avalon, Summit Road and Haywards Scenic Reserve
Finish at Te Whiti Park (Eastern Hills)
approx. 21km, scenic.

Work off that xmas pud!
Get out from in front of the TV (& computer!)
Spend a couple of hours with your real friends!
