With stunning views over Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt, and Wellington Harbour (backdropped by the Kaikouras), the race definitely has

Entry Details
RACE DATE IS 2 May 2010. Entries for the event must be received by 23rd April 2010 and be accompanied by a cheque payable to
Wainuiomata Athletic & Harrier Club. Photocopies of entry forms are acceptable.

Late entries will be accepted until 30 minutes before start time. An additional fee of $5 will be payable for all late entries.
Race Numbers
Race numbers will be available from the Wainuiomata High School Gymnasium, Parkway Road, Wainuiomata
(entry through last gate on right hand side of Parkway), from 8.00am to 9.30am on race day.

Race Rules
- Race numbers are to be worn on the front and the entire number must be visible at all times. Entrants without clearly visible
numbers, or with numbers that have been defaced in any way, will not be permitted to enter the finish area.
- The directions of the race officials must be obeyed at all times. The organisers reserve the right to withdraw any
entrants they consider unable to continue for medical reasons or who otherwise do not comply with the race rules.
- A time limit of 2 hours for runners and 3 hours for walkers, will be strictly enforced for the 12km event.
- So as not to impede the progress of runners, walkers are not to walk more than two abreast and must make way for runners towards the end of the race.
- Entries are not transferable to another competitor.

Changing Facilities
Toilet and shower facilities will be available at the Wainuiomata High School Gymnasium. If you would like your gear looked
after, please place it in your bag clearly marked with your name and race number, and leave it at the Wainuiomata High School
Gymnasium. The organisers take no responsibility for gear or valuables.
Results and Certificates
Race results and certificates will be available on the day. Recording of race times on the
certificates is the responsibility of entrants.
At the end of the event there will be a bbq for participants at the Wainuiomata High School.
Prizegiving
Prize giving will commence at 12.30pm at the Wainuiomata High School Gymnasium.
All finishers are eligible for spot prizes. You must be present
at the prize giving to receive a spot prize.
Prizes
A vauled tradition of the Wainuiomata Mountain Run and Walk is the giving out of a large variety of spot prizes drawn at the prize giving.
Protect the Kiwi
$1 from every entry received will be given to the Rimutaka Forest Park Trust for the Save the Kiwi fund,
to assist in their dedicated work towards protecting the wellbeing and reintroduction of the brown kiwi.
