Following the freezing weather of the previous week, conditions fined up for the annual varsity relays held at QEII park. Firm underfoot, the undulating cross country course was fast going apart from the occasional patches of sand.

That Man Jonathon Wyatt continued to demonstrate his excellent form by setting a new course record of 11:34 for the 4km circuit. Running 3rd leg of 4, Jonathan helped Wellington Harriers to victory in the Open Men's. In the Open Women's Wellington led from the off to win the 4x4km event.
